Job Title : Vertical Head –Education
Job Summary
This is a leadership position in the Education Organization.
Responsibilities are as under:
• Managing the delivery organization for the business unit. Build a team to work as an escalation point for delivery for issues that are not getting resolved by delivery and in areas where they need external assistance
• Provide guidance to the team on developing competencies and solutions in line with Client expectations in the above mentioned areas for Bids, Workshops, etc.
• Observe and analyze trends in education industry and identify new areas for the Practice to focus on. Invest in development of new skills and competencies to keep up with the trends to enhance company’s ability to handle deals
• Interact with Prospects and Customers and articulate company’s overall solution and its impact on the Prospects’ / Customers’ business drivers
• Enable better performance through automation of Governance processes and working closely with Delivery and Quality Teams
• Reviewing Pre-Sales documents, SLAs, Contracts, etc. from a delivery perspective to ensure deliverability of the same
• Grow the business unit (revenue) by 30 % over current level.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background as follows:
• Total experience: 15 – 20 years. M.B.A. or Master’s in a relevant discipline from a top university strongly preferred, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in education industry.
• Thorough understanding of the education organization functioning, pain points & broad understanding of technology needs
• Fair understanding of technology drivers and imperatives of this industry today. Understanding of different IT service propositions and ability to mix, match and consultatively sell these service portfolios with a domain background to engage prospects and clients in strategic consulting engagements.
• Should have managed large budget engagements and revenue responsibility
• Should be able to conduct presentations and discussions with senior management at customer side.
• Should be able to work closely with the internal team e.g. Practice team, Sales and Client Engagement, PMO team
• Willing to stretch / travel extensively.
Location / Travel:
• Extensive travel (domestic or international) may be required.
• Base location in India/US/Australia/UK.
