Was That A Coincidence Or Was It A Clue?

Ever had that feeling of deja-vu? You know where you are sure that you been here before and know exactly what the person is going to say next?

Spooky, isn’t it?

Why does it happen? Who knows?

All I know is that there is a reason for everything – if you look hard enough.

OK. Let’s look at a more regular occurrence in our lives. Let’s look at coincidence. Nice woolly, fluffy, ‘isn’t that funny?’ coincidence.

Ever thought about phoning a friend – then the phone rings and it’s them on the other end of the line?

Ever bumped into someone who lives close to you who just happens to have spent their holiday in the same part of the world as you?

That’s coincidence.

But what if there was a reason for these coincidences? What if they were a clue to something important? I guarantee that you are probably thinking that I have lost the plot.

Coincidence is well…just a coincidence, right?

Wrong!

Just because something cannot be explained doesn’t mean that there isn’t a reason for it. Because coincidences cannot be fully understood, most people would never even bother to look for the ‘signs’.

Are there signs?

Well, only today for example, I received an email. In it I was asked if I wanted to review a brand new personal development ebook which has the same title as a workbook of mine that had only just been released.

Added to the fact that it is also being backed by an Internet ‘heavyweight’ and the signs didn’t look too good!

So?

So I look for signs. Interpreting coincidence is a little like interpreting dreams. You have to think figuratively, rather than literally.

What that means is that you shouldn’t look at what the coincidence actually is – but what it could represent.

So – go through the process with me.

How can I interpret this ‘sign’?

Well I know that I would like to sell more copies of my workbook – maybe it’s a sign that I change its name? The website address I have for it is shorter than the name for the workbook itself – maybe I could use that.

Perhaps it could be a clue that I must try to get more ‘backing’ from some of the big guys in order to get the marketing push that I need.

It could just be a timely reminder that I am on the ‘right-track’ with what I am doing and to keep ‘plugging away‘.

So you see – a coincidence can be interpreted in many different ways. The key is to keep your eyes open to other ‘linked’ coincidences that will support the original one.

This ‘game’ takes practice – but it is also fun to master. I already have had some supporting ‘evidence’ for one of my interpretations of the coincidence that I listed above.

Now I’m going to use that information and run with it.

Don’t ignore a coincidence – help can be given to you at any time. Just make sure that you never write it off.
